With our gradual change in climate and current water restrictions looking like they’re here to stay,
it’s becoming harder to keep the moisture in the soil long enough for our plants
to remain healthy.
That’s why more and more people are using decorative pebbles as an alternative for mulch.
With conventional mulch such as wood chips or cypress, the water needs to saturate the mulch
before it can penetrate the soil below. As pebbles are non-absorbent they allow 100% of the water
to drain directly to where it’s needed most, so even a light hosing or shower can be beneficial to
the garden.
